Churg-Strauss Syndrome and Asthma

I was diagnosed with Churg-Strauss Syndrome May 2007. 100% of Churg-Strauss patients also have asthma. No one knows what the real cause is. The criteria for Churg-Strauss Syndrome: Pathophysiology: Churg-Strauss syndrome is a granulomatous small-vessel vasculitis. The cause of this allergic angiitis and granulomatosis is not known. No data have been reported regarding the role of immune complexes or cell-mediated mechanisms in this disease, although autoimmunity is evident with the presence of hypergammaglobulinemia, increased levels of immunoglobulin E (IgE), rheumatoid factor, and ANCA.

I believe that Churg-Strauss can be brought on by the use of Singulair. I took Singulair and my feet almost suddenly started to tingle, numbness ensued and then encruciating Vasculistis in my legs. I had double vision and finally ended up in emergency because I could no longer walk. From that cold day in 2007, May, my life changed completely. I am on the road to healing and I am healing daily. I was in the hospital for almost two months and when I was released I put myself in a convalescent hospital so that I would not be a burden on my husband. I surely would have died there, so my husband brought me home. These turned out to be the hardest days of my entire life, I was a wildlife rehabilitator and I was now crippled, used a walker to go to the rest room, fell often as I had foot drop and the medications crippled me further.
