I have asthma. I hate asthma when I have symptoms. They are very scary. I never knew that breathing would become such an issue in my life. Doctor's all have tried to help me, but truly I believe that their symptom relievers don't last and can even make me worse.
I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Asthma in 2007, (allergic asthma). I thought all asthma was an allergic reaction. I was told that if I didn't take steroid medications that the inflammation could damage my lungs permanently. I still don't believe that. I have an over-reaction immune system. Does that mean my immune system is confused? I believe so. I certainly don't want to surpress it with steroids! I want my body to be balanced. It is confused and is trying to fight me instead of the allergen or the precipitator of my illness. Is that all they know after all of the years of trial studies and experiments done with asthma? There are so many children and adults with this malady and I said I will find a cure to my Doctor. I have found balance.
